Frequently Asked Questions: For Loc Extensions
Q: How much do you charge?
My starting price is $350. Which is the length and size of the picture below:
For $475, that would be this size and length:
For $525, that would be this size and length:
For $600, that would be this size and length:
Q: Does the price include the hair?
No. The price I quote you is for the service. The hair cost is based upon how long the locs will be. For instance, if someone with an average amount of hair is getting the length for $475, they will expect to spend around $200 on hair. The reason for “around $200” is because it really depends on the beauty supply store you choose. Some may apply a discount. I will give you the best areas to purchase the hair after our phone conversation or face to face consultation.
Q: Do you charge for consultations?
No. I think that’s absurd. Consultations are always free. A deposit is required to set your actually appointment for the service.
Q: How much is your deposit?
The deposit is $75 and this goes towards your total service cost. If your service will take more than one day, then a deposit of $75 for each day the service is expected to use is required. Deposits are not refunded. If you give a 48 hour or more notice, then the deposit will be transfered to another service. If you give a cancellation within 48 hours from the time of your appointment, you are forfeiting your deposit.
Q: What is your cancellation/tardy policy?
The client must show up at the time shown on their styleseat confirmation email.
Life happens and if you have to cancel, just give me a notice of at least 48 hours. (For example: if your appointment is Thursday at 8:30am, please give contact me no later than Tuesday at 8:30am.
Regular short services can be set without a deposit. If an appointment is canceled without a 48 hour cancellation notice, the client will pay a $25 deposit going towards their next appointment when set.
If you are running behind, please give me a call. I may not be able to provide you your service if you arrive more than 25 minutes late. My promise is to always start on time. If I’m running behind, then I promise to give you a call at least 45 minutes before your appointment.
Cancellations for Loc Extensions & Kinky Twists

Tardy for Loc Extensions & Kinky Twists
If the client (for loc extensions) arrives after 30 minutes of the appointment time, then they are forfeiting their deposit and the appointment is cancelled. Please call me to see if the day is flexible.
Q: What should I bring to/for my appointment?
A smile and your hair. There isn’t anything required. I have free protected wifi and tons of Netflix/Itunes/Hulu & music for entertainment. I, of course, will be educating you on locs and what to expect in the weeks, months, years to come.
Q: Should I wash my hair?
A wash is always included with all my services. For my loc extensions, I’ve noticed clients have pre-washed their hair to cut down on the time. It’s up to you entirely.
Q: Are they layered? How do you do them?
My whole purpose is to make them look as natural looking as possible. I layer them so them look the exact way someone would have grown them out. I’m a loctician so I run my hands through tons of loc including my own years ago.
I never have and never will use the following:
2) synthetic hair
You have my word. I’ve been asked if I use any of these items and the answer is absolutely not. I’ve been using the same technique for years before it was popular. The technique consists of braiding and wrapping the hair.
Q: What type of hair do you use?
I use hair by ‘Lord & Cliff.’ It’s human kinky hair.
If there are absolutely any further questions, please do not hesitate to ask. I’m an open book! :)
Q: Do you provide grooming service afterwards?
Absolutely! I provide twisting for $65 and interlocking for $85. I would love to explain the differences in person–giving you the rundown of pros and cons.
